DOMINION PARK EQUINE

The equine world was first introduced to Dominion in 1968 with the establishment of Dominion Sulkies. Our first foray, involved the building and distributing of quality wooden trotting racing sulkies throughout the country. It was during this period that John developed his talent for lining vehicles, and it was a natural progression to move into other divisions of the horse drawn vehicle world. In 1976 the move was made to the country, and Kyneton was decided upon as a location from which we could continue to build a new equine business. It was during this time that Dominion Park was born and has continued in its current location.

1972 saw the first horse exhibited by Dominion at the Royal Melbourne Show. Over the many years of involvement in the horse industry, we have shown and breed many horses in both led and harness classes, which we are very proud of. It's the experience of almost 40 years of showing which helps us to understand our clients needs regarding all aspects of the show arena. Spending time with great horsemen and blacksmiths/farriers of the past has had a positive impact on our approach to horses and horse people in all aspects of Dominion Park Equine Services.

The vehicles which have been built and/or restored by Dominion over 35 years, have been widely varied, in style, design and practibility. Many of our vehicles have been Royal show winners around the country. Some even started out as nothing more than a chaff bag of parts.

We pride ourselves in the knowledge of the past, present and future.
